Meet the Board
Kurtis Wetzel, President
Kurtis Wetzel is a pastor-track junior at MLC. He is privileged to serve as president on the Forum Board and enjoys partaking in shows at the college as well. He is grateful for the experience and skills he has gained the last two years and is excited and hopeful for another great year.
"Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men." (Ephesians 5:7)
Caleb Schmiege, Secretary
Caleb, a pastor track junior with an emphasis in Spanish, is proud to call Madison, Wisconsin his home. He can still remember his first experience with theater, where he played a black crayon (not what you would call a lead role, but he was only 5 at the time). His aspirations for music and theater continued through high school until he became involved with MLC Forum during his freshman year at MLC. Since his start, he has had roles in Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, The Three Fairy Godmothers, Pirates of Penzance, Love Grows Cold, Dial M for Murder, Aesop's (Oh so slightly) Updated Fables, and Oklahoma! and has helped out behind the scenes as well. He is honored to serve the school and his Lord by being a member of the Forum Board.
Jackie Adams, Treasurer
Jacki Adams is a junior at Martin Luther College in the Elementary Education track focusing on Math and Science. She has always had an interest in there and his blessed to be able to be a part of the MLC Forum. She has been in or on the production staff of several shows in her time at MLC and looks forward to the shows to come.
Prof. Miles Wurster, Faculty Advisor
Prof. Miles Wurster is entering his third year as Faculty Advisor to the Forum Board. Not a complete stranger to the stage, Prof. Wurster has been involved in productions on Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the Pirates of Penzance and Iolanthe. In addition he has played in pit orchestras for HMS Pinafore, The Sound of Music, Annie Get Your Gun, and My Fair Lady. Prof. Wurster had the privilege of conducting the pit orchestra for Forum's 2007 production of The Wizard of Oz and the 2009 production of The Pirates of Penzance.
Prof. Wurster conducts the Martin Luther College Wind Symphony and serves as professor of music at the college. Miles and his lovely wife Kathy have two beautiful daughters, Ella and Isabelle, who are exceptionally eager to help out with Forum in any way they can (this usually invokes trying on all the hats in the Green Room).
Prof. Wurster is very privileged to work with his future colleagues who have a passion for music, theater, and sharing the Gospel of Christ.
