Meet Me in Hanoi

Dr. Pfeifer & Coral Cady in Hanoi

Dr. Pfeifer traveled to Southeast Asia in February to recruit international students for St. Croix Lutheran High School, West St. Paul MN, where Gene is the president. St. Croix enrolls 478 students in grades 6 – 12. They serve 105 international students representing 13 countries and 5 continents with American education and Jesus’ Gospel. Fourteen are from Vietnam.

Dr. Pfeifer and Dr. Jeff Lemke, St. Croix’s director of admissions, met with potential students in Vietnam’s three largest cities: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Haiphong. After a long day of recruiting, on their second night in Hanoi, Gene and Jeff were able to meet Coral in Hanoi’s French quarter – where they ate outdoors at an Italian cafe!

MLC graduate student Coral Cady teaches music and primary PE at an English-speaking Christian international school. After catching up on one another’s lives, Dr. Pfeifer and Coral discussed the MLC master’s program. Coral related the program is working very well for her given her unique situation.
