Databases

Find journal articles about a topic. Most databases include full text articles; some provide citations and/or abstracts only. (Database access is for faculty, students and staff of Martin Luther College).

360 Search - One Stop Searching: (Available to onsite computer users only.) Search one, two or more databases simultaneously.
E-Journal Portal: Search by journal titles (A-Z) (down to the level of individual issues, tables of content and articles) to the full text electronic/digital journals to which the MLC Library subscribes.
Access Science: AccessScience delivers the latest content of the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology, Research Updates from the McGraw-Hill Yearbooks of Science & Technology, and the McGraw-Hill Dictionary of Scientific and Technical Terms, and related information.
The Children's Literature Comprehensive Database: CLCD is an ever growing online database of reviews and related information on children's literature.

Oxford Music Online: Oxford Music Online includes the full text of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians; The New Grove Dictionary of Opera; and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz. Access is available to the full text of the Oxford Companion to Music and the Oxford Dictionary of Music.

Periodicals Index Online: Periodicals Index Online is a database of millions of articles published in the arts, humanities and social sciences, across more than 300 years. It enables researchers to quickly locate articles relevant to their particular field of study, and reduces what could involve years of study to a matter of minutes.
Project MUSE: Scholarly journals online. Not all journals will be full text.
ProQuest: The ProQuest News Stand provides access to thousands of current periodicals and newspapers, many updated daily and containing full-text articles from 1986.
Resources for College Libraries: RCL enables users to check for materials in a subject, which have been selected by experts as core to that field in undergraduate work. It builds up the library resources in a particular field and also useful for students fto develop a bibliography in a field.
