Dr. John Henry Ott served as a professor and librarian at Northwestern College in Watertown, Wisconsin from 1885 to 1943. The Ott Memorial Award was established in 1959 by Dr. George Shield in memory of Dr. Ott’s dedicated service to the college. The awards are presented yearly to pastor track students who demonstrate “superior scholastic achievement” through a research paper in the areas of English or history.
The collection numbering over 260 papers is held in the MLC Library reference area.
