This multi-disciplinary database provides full text for more than 4,500 journals, including full text for more than 3,700 peer-reviewed titles. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,000 titles.

EBSCOhost EJS

EBSCOhost Electronic Journal Service provides online access to a select number of publications that the MLC Library subscribes to in print. EJS puts the e-journals in a single place on the Web, so you don't have to jump all over the place to find the printed articles you need.

JSTOR

Has created a high-quality, interdisciplinary archive of scholarship, preserving over one thousand academic journals in both digital and print formats.

Literary Reference Center

Literary Reference Center (LRC) is a comprehensive literary reference database, which provides users with a broad spectrum of reference information from antiquity to the present day. LRC is a comprehensive database that combines information from over 1,000 books and monographs, major literary encyclopedias and reference works, hundreds of literary journals, and unique sources not available anywhere else. LRC contains detailed information on the most studied authors and their works and is an essential resource for public, academic and high school libraries.

LitFinder

Covering world literature and authors throughout history, LitFinder contains a wealth of literary works including over 150,000 full-text poems and 800,000+ poetry citations, as well as short stories, speeches, and plays. For students or patrons seeking a deeper view into literature, LitFinder also includes secondary materials like biographies, images, and more! From Shakespeare's sonnets to poems by Donald Hall or short stories from Edgar Allan Poe to works by Annie Proulx, LitFinder has you covered.  

Magill's Literary Annuals (Salem Literature)

Covers recent works of fiction and nonfiction across subjects, genres, and countries. Each year, Magill's Literary Annual critically evaluates 200 major examples of serious literature, both fiction and nonfiction, published during the previous calendar year. Coverage of works reflects the publishing trends of a given year.

MasterPlots (Salem Literature)

Salem Literature is the online version of Salem Masterplots. A reference book series which summarizes the plots of significant works of literature and films. The MLC Library holds the print version in Reference.

Oxford Digital Reference Shelf

Oxford's award-winning scholarly reference collection in History and Culture, and Literature and Language.

Periodicals Archive Online

Is an archive of hundreds of digitized journals published in the arts, humanities and social sciences.

Project Muse

Offers full text access to current content from prestigious humanities and social sciences journals.
