It's All About You

As the 2007/08 school year ends the MLC Library is just begining a new look and hopes to become user friendly, user informed, and user used. A new focus for many public and academic libraries is to bring the library to the patron. This is different from being a building that patrons go to. Now with new technologies and internet use the library can come to you where ever you are at the moment.

This summer the library webpage will undergo a transformation. It will include a user friendly interface where the library catalog and research electronic resources will be a click away. Incorporated into the site will also be quick reference links to dictionaries, encyclopedias, thesaurus, and maps. Links to library service and information about library accounts will be improved. All of these links are currently available to our patrons. We just hope to make it easier for you to use. Other changes to our website include blogs from the director, cataloger (new materials), children's literature librarian and reference.  "Ask a Librarian" is a wiki designed to provide resources to contact an MLC librarian and provide helps and tools for research. I hope that you will visit our website throughout the summer to see it evolve and to offer your support and suggestions that would make it your favorite place for information where ever you are!

New look

This is the direction the library must go. We are making steady progress.
