Black Hills Highlights Tour - June 28-July 2, 2010

Mt. Rushmore

With MLC Geography Professor Earl Heidtke as guide, this deluxe motor coach tour departs from MLC with potential pick up points in Worthington, MN and Sioux Falls, SD. Highlights include: the Lewis & Clark Visitor Center; the Minuteman Cold War Missile Site; the Mt Rushmore lighting ceremony (with additional daylight hiking opportunity); scenic drives along Iron Mountain Rd, Needles Highway, Custer State Park’s Wildlife Loop, and Spearfish Canyon; visits to Reptile Gardens and Bear Country; gold rush boomtowns Deadwood & Lead; and the Badlands National Park.

Blessed with an abundance of natural beauty, family attractions, great wildlife parks, and historical sites, the Black Hills are one of our country’s most visited destinations for a good reason. You’ll see breathtaking landscapes and marvelous creatures (elk, and buffalo, and bears – oh my!) – all of which will lead you to praise and thank God for the beauties of His creation.

One of the benefits of travelling with the MLC Alumni / OWLS touring group is the opportunity to worship and fellowship with like minded believers. Daily devotions take us into the Word by which the Spirit helps us understand and believe the truth.

Priority is given to MLC, DMLC, and NWC alumni as well as current MLC students and members of the OWLS organization. Last year’s tour sold out quickly and limited space is available so submit your reservation and $100 deposit asap. Contact alumni director Steve Balza at 507 217-1731 or alumni@mlc-wels.edu with any questions or to request a brochure and registration form.
