[GAME 1]

The Knights held a 5-2 lead heading into the final inning, but Waldorf scored three runs to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh, and then scored the game winner in the tenth frame to win game one by a score of 6-5.

MLC scored one run in the top of the first, and then two more in the top of the third on a Tyler Morgan (New Ulm, Minn./MVL) home run that scored Joe Janke (Big Bend, Wis./WISCO) to take a 3-0 lead.

Waldorf cut the deficit to one with a two-run bottom half of the third, but MLC came right back with two more in the fourth with RBI from Janke and Morgan to push the lead back to 5-2.

MLC starting pitcher Bryon Scriver (Kansasville, Wis./Shoreland) took the game into the seventh, but three MLC errors with two outs tied the score and ended Scriver's day after 6.2 innings with a no decision.

After two scoreless extra innings, Waldorf scored the game-winner in the bottom of the tenth on a one-out double off MLC reliever Joseph Blum (Bonduel, Wis./FVL) to take the game 6-5.

[GAME 2]

The Knights were unable to generate anything offensively in game two, as they finished with three hits in an 8-1 loss.

Waldorf took control of the game with three runs through three innings off Janke, and then broke the game open with a four-run fifth inning off Janke and reliever Hikaru Tomizawa (Saitama, Japan/LPS). They tacked on one more insurance run in the sixth to put the game at 8-0 heading into the seventh.

MLC scored its lone run in the top of the seventh inning on a Greg Holzhueter (Mankato, Minn./MVL) single that scored Tyler Dorn (Sturtevant, Wis./Shoreland), but it would not be enough as Waldorf shut the door on any more runs with the 8-1 final.

With the loss, MLC dropped to 0-8 on the season. The Knights will return to action on Wednesday, March 31, when they play a double header at Luther. Game one is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
