Knights Picked Seventh in Preseason Poll

Joe Schmudlach and the Knights were picked seventh in the UMAC preseason poll

The Knights finished sixth in the conference in 2011 with a record of 7-23 overall and 7-14 in league play, and they return a number of key contributors from that team.

MLC returns two of its three top pitchers from a season ago in Jacob Ziel and Joe Blum, with the Knights hoping that some talented newcomers can provide them some innings on the mound as well.

In the field, Joe Schmudlach and Aaron Stokke return for their sophomore seasons in the outfield, while Brad Essig, Tyler Dorn and Galen Holzhueter look to lead the infield.

St. Scholastica was the unanimous choice as the number one team in the preseason poll, with Bethany and Northwestern rounding out the top three. For the full release from the UMAC on the preseason poll, click on the link below.
