The Knights struggled in the first half, shooting 26.7 percent from the floor on 8-30 shooting as they attempted to knock off the rust, allowing Waldorf to take a 39-16 lead into the half.

MLC slowly came back throughout the second half, cutting the lead into single digits with just under seven minutes to go, but the early deficit proved too much to come back from in the end.

MLC finished the night shooting 37.5 percent from the floor, helped by a second half shooting percent of 47.1 percent. Waldorf shot 44.2 percent for the game, and also outscored the Knights 10-2 from the free throw line.

The Knights will return to action on Saturday, November 20, when they travel to Central for a 3 p.m. game.
