Galen Holzhueter Sets MLC Career Scoring Record

NEW ULM, Minn. - Martin Luther College men's basketball forward Galen Holzhueter became the school's all-time scoring leader in Friday's 58-54 loss to Northwestern.

Galen Holzhueter became the MLC all-time leading scorer Friday night against UNW

Holzhueter now has 1,449 career points, breaking the previous mark of 1,447 held by Tom Engelbrecht, who played for the Knights from 2000-03.

Holzhueter entered the game needing 24 points to tie the record, and finished with 26 points on 12-21 shooting, scoring the record-breaking basket on a three-point play with 5:01 to play in the second half.

Holzhueter previously set the school record for made field goals with 575, and also ranks in the top five in program history in career rebounds and free throws, as well.
