Holzhueter Named UMAC Player of the Week

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Martin Luther College men's basketball player Galen Holzhueter was named UMAC Player of the Week for his performance in a pair of wins for the Knights last week.

Galen Holzhuter was named UMAC Player of the Week in men's basketball

Holzhueter averaged 22.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, helping the Knights to wins over Maranatha Baptist Bible College and Bethany Lutheran College. He scored 26 points in the win over MBBC, getting to the foul line 15 times and making eight of 17 attempts from the field.

This season, Holzhueter has set the new career record for field goals at MLC with 563, and is currently just 24 points shy of the school scoring record of 1,447, held by Tom Engelbrecht.

This is the second time this season Holzhueter won conference player of the week honors.

Holzhueter and the Knights will return to action on Friday, January 17, when they host Northwestern (MN) for a 5:30 p.m. contest.
