Late Flurry Pushes Rams Past Knights
NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC men's basketball team was unable to finish off a second half comeback in a 74-67 loss to North Central Tuesday night.
Justin Eternick (Waterloo, Wis./Lakeside) scored 13 points on 6-8 shooting in the second half to help the Knights take a 60-59 lead with 4:30 remaining in the game after trailing by as many as 13 points, but the Rams countered with an 11-2 run over the next four minutes to take back control of the game and seal the win.
The Rams took the lead heading into the half with the help of some stellar outside shooting, going 6-13 from beyond the three-point arc on the way to a 39-30 lead. Nathan Bauer (Lake Mills, Wis./Lakeside) kept the Knights close with 13 points on 5-9 shooting (including 3-5 from downtown).
