Men Lose at Bethel
ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - The MLC men's basketball team was unable to get anything going on either end of the court in a 93-38 loss at Bethel Saturday afternoon.
The Knights had a forgettable day offensively, shooting 19.6 percent from the field for the game, and shot 14.3 percent in the second half. Bethel shot 55.2 percent from the field, and also shot well from distance, going 6-11 from beyond the three-point arc.
Bethel controlled the game from the early going, turning an 8-6 lead early in the game into a 17-point lead after an 18-3 run, helping them take a 53-19 lead into the half and cruise the rest of the way for the win.
Justin Danell and Galen Holzhueter led the Knights with nine points apiece, with Danell adding nine rebounds.
With the loss, MLC dropped to 0-7, while Bethel improved to 5-3 with the win.
MLC will return to action on Monday, December 12, when it travels to Saint John's for a 7 p.m. game.
