STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Martin Luther College men's basketball team started slowly and couldn't turn things around in a 108-55 loss at Buena Vista Tuesday.

The Beavers started the game on a 19-2 run, and took a 51-22 halftime edge before running away in the second half.

The Knights were unable to slow down the BVU attack, as the Beavers shot 58 percent from the field and committed only eight turnovers in the game. The Knights struggled offensively, committing 18 turnovers and shooting 29 percent from the field.

Luke Rothe led MLC with 15 points, while Galen Holzhueter joined him in double figures with 13 points. Todd Brassow grabbed a team-best eight rebounds to go with his six points.

MLC fell to 0-4 on the season with the loss, while Buena Vista evened its record at 3-3 with the win.

The Knights will return to action on Friday, December 6, when they host Wartburg in a game scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
