Football Picked Eighth in UMAC Preseason Poll

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The UMAC football preseason poll was released Thursday afternoon, and the Knights were picked to finish eighth by the coaches around the conference.

Luke Rothe and the Knights were picked eighth in the UMAC preseason poll

MLC finished the 2012 season with a record of 4-6 overall and 2-6 in UMAC play to tie for sixth place in the final conference standings.

This season, the Knights could return as many as 12 returning starters, including nine on the offense.

MLC finished with 27 points in the poll, two behind conference newcomer Iowa Wesleyan for seventh. St. Scholastica finished atop the poll with a total of 76 points and five first place votes, while Greenville (72 points and three first place votes) and Northwestern (66 points and two first place votes) rounded out the top three.
