ST. PAUL, Minn. - The MLC football team was picked to finish fourth in the UMAC in the preseason coaches poll released Wednesday.

Knights Picked Fourth

Chuqee Fletcher and the Knights were picked fourth in the UMAC preseason poll

The Knights finished with 55 points in the poll, just two shy of third place finisher UM-Morris.

MLC will look to its defense for much of the season, which returns eight starters from last season's 5-4 team. All-conference performers Chuqee Fletcher and Benjamin Olson will look to lead that side of the ball.

Offensively, the Knights return three starters along the offensive line, while Ryan Schmeling, Joe Lindloff and Mark Voss make up a new look backfield behind them.

Greenville finished first in the poll, taking all nine possible first place votes in the process. St. Scholastica and UM-Morris finished second and third, respectively.
