Olson Named UMAC Player of the Week
ST. PAUL - MLC running back Matthew Olson was named UMAC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in MLC's 30-27 win over MacMurray last weekend.
Matthew Olson was named UMAC Offensive Player of the Week
Olson finished the game with 39 carries for 212 yards, and caught four passes for 54 yards and one touchdown. He also made an impact on point after attempts, scoring three times on two-point conversions to help the Knights keep their lead.
Olson was also named to the D3football Team of the Week for his performance, and became the third player on the team this season (joining Luke Rothe and Josh Rathje) to score at least one touchdown passing, rushing and receiving.
Olson and the Knights will finish the season on Saturday, November 3, when they host Crown for a 1 p.m. game.
