Golf in Fifth Place after Round One
ALEXANDRIA, Minn. - The MLC golf team sits in fifth place at the UMAC Championships being held at Alexandria GC after one round of play Thursday.
The Knights had a total of 340 strokes on day one, 20 strokes behind leader North Central, but only four back of second place Bethany and Northwestern.
Sam Panning shot a team-best 81 on the day, putting him in a sixth-place tie in the individual competition, while Craig Wilke sits in tenth place with a first round 82.
Jacob Biebert was the Knights' third best finisher with an 87, while Caleb Schultz shot 90 as MLC's fourth player.
The Knights will return for round two of the three-round tournament tomorrow (Friday, October 7). The link posted above will be updated throughout the tournament, including during the rounds for anyone who wishes to keep track.
