Panning Ties for First at Northwestern

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - MLC men's golfer Sam Panning tied for first place amongst individual finishers with a 74 Tuesday at Gross National GC, helping the Knights to a second place tie in the process.

Panning tied Jon Pederson of Bethany atop the individual standings with his low round of the season, beating out more than 30 other individuals.

Six different teams competed at the event, and the Knights tied UM-Morris with a four-player total score of 322 on the day, 13 shots behind tournament winner Bethany.

Craig Wilke shot his lowest round in competition with a 77, while Jacob Biebert and Caleb Schultz shot 85 and 86, respectively.

MLC will return to the course tomorrow (September 14) when it hosts the MLC Invitational at North Links.
