Knights Fall to Saints 9-0
NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC men's soccer team fell behind in the second minute of play to St. Scholastica and could never get things going in the right direction in a 9-0 loss to the Saints Saturday.
The Saints scored six first half goals off MLC goalkeeper Ben Zietlow. Kyle Farrar scored three times in the half, and finished the game with four goals.
CSS scored three more times in the second half, with Rob Johnson scoring two of his three after the break.
MLC was outshot 36-12 in the game, with John Paustian leading the team with three shots.
With the loss, MLC dropped to 4-13 on the season and 2-9 in league play, while St. Scholastica improved to 13-3-1 overall and 9-0-1 in the UMAC.
The Knights will return to action on Wednesday, October 26, when they travel to UM-Morris.
