Men Lose 1-0 to Beavers
NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC men's soccer team was unable to muster enough offense in a 1-0 loss to Buena Vista Tuesday at Knight Field.

The Beavers scored on a Ben Welch goal from a bad angle that hit the post, and then bounced off goalkeeper Ben Zietlow into the back of the net in the 39th minute of action for the only goal of the game.
The Knights were outshot 22-18 for the game, and 11-7 on goal, but limited the chances for Buena Vista most of the day.
Offensively, MLC was led by Steve White's four shots, with Kaleb Buch and Nathan Gurgel each putting two shots on net.
With the loss, MLC dropped to 3-3 on the season, while the Beavers improved to 4-6.
MLC will return to action on Friday, October 1, when it travels to Presentation to take on the Saints. The game is scheduled to start around 4 p.m.
