Men Lose 2-0 at UMM
MORRIS, Minn. - The MLC men's soccer team lost at Minnesota, Morris Thursday by the score of 2-0.
The game was scoreless until the 27th minute, when UMM struck first on a goal by Ebrima Badgie in the 27th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
The Cougars added to it just before the half, scoring in the 43rd minute to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
Neither team scored in the second half, and shots were even at 6-6 after the break.
Kaleb Buch had five of MLC's nine total shots in the contest, including three shots on goal. Goalkeeper Eric Hahn saved four of the six shots he faced in net.
With the loss, MLC dropped to 1-6 on the season and 0-3 in UMAC play, while UMM improved to 2-5-1 overall and 2-1 in league play with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Saturday, September 22, when they host Crown for a game scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m.
