NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC men's soccer team lost to Crown Saturday by the score of 3-1 at Knight Field.

Ryan Lemke scored the lone goal in MLC's 3-1 loss to Crown

The Knights fell behind on a Storm goal in the 34th minute, but Ryan Lemke tied the game in the final minutes before the hale on a pass from Kaleb Buch, sending the game into the break even at 1-1.

Crown was able to take advantage of opportunities in the second half, as Truman Shetler found space to score twice in the first 22 minutes of the second half to give the Storm the two-goal lead they would hold the rest of the way.

Lemke and Buch combined to take 13 of the Knights' 25 shots in the game, and also registered six of the team's seven shots on goal.

In goal, Eric Hahn stopped 12 of the 15 shots he faced for MLC.

The Knights dropped to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in UMAC play with the loss. Crown improved to 2-5 on the season and 2-2 in league play in the win.

MLC will return to action on Friday, September 28, when it travels to Northland for a game scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
