Men's Soccer Loses Opener 2-1

PLYMOUTH, Wis. - The MLC men's soccer team lost its season opener by the score of 2-1 at Lakeland College Saturday afternoon.
The Knights fell behind 1-0 early in the second half, but came back to tie the game on a goal from Kaleb Buch.
Lakeland's was able to get the game winner in the 83rd minute, holding on the rest of the way for the win.
MLC was outshot 28-9 overall in the game, including a 9-6 edge for Lakeland in terms of shots on goal.
Buch led the MLC offense with three shots. Ben Zietlow finished with seven saves in the MLC net.
The Knights will return to action on Tuesday, September 6, when they host Gustavus for a 4 p.m. game.
