The Knights jumped on top early, as Aaron Markgraf scored twice in the first three minutes to give MLC the 2-0 lead.

After a Crown goal in the 19th minute, Markgraf completed the hat trick 1:31 later off a pass from Ryan Lemke. The Storm would come back, however, tying the game with a pair of goals later in the half.

The game remained at 3-3 until Koelpin headed home a corner kick from Stephen Roekle in the 79th minute, pushing the Knights ahead for the one-goal win.

Markgraf's three goals give him four on the season, with assists on those goals combing from Isaiah Horn, Stephen Roekle, David Roekle and Koelpin. Koelpin's game winner was his second of the season.

MLC improved to 3-6 on the season and 2-2 in the UMAC with the win, while Crown dropped to 2-6 overall and 1-3 in league play with the loss.

The Knights will return to action on Friday, October 4, when they host Northland.
