Two Named First Team All-UMAC in Men’s Soccer

ST. PAUL, Minn. – MLC men’s soccer players Andrew Danner and Kaleb Buch were named First Team All-UMAC, while Ross Chartrand was named Honorable Mention All-UMAC Tuesday when the conference announced its postseason awards.

Danner, a senior defender, started 18 games for the Knights and helped them finish fifth in the conference in goals allowed. Danner also contributed some offense, scoring two goals.

Buch, a sophomore in his first season at MLC, finished the season as the Knights’ leading scorer with seven goals and 17 points. In the conference statistical rankings, Buch ranked second in shots (82) and shots per game (4.32), and also finished in the top ten in goals, goals per game, points, and points per game.

Chartrand, a sophomore, started all 19 games on defense, and also added seven shots on offense, two of which were on goal.

MLC finished the season with a record of 7-10-2 overall and 4-8-2 in the UMAC, good for sixth place in the conference.
