MORRIS, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team lost its match at Minnesota-Morris on Saturday by the final of 5-4.

Micah Koelpin earned points in singles and doubles in a 5-4 loss at UMM


The Knights started the match strong, taking the numbers two and three doubles matches. Kris Kuschel and Micah Koelpin won in number two doubles 9-7, while Justin Marshall and Philip Schroeder won their number three doubles match 8-6.

The Cougars were able to rally in singles, however, winning four of the six matches to get the overall 5-4 win. Koelpin and Marshall had the two singles victories for MLC.

MLC fell to 2-8 overall and 2-6 in UMAC competition in defeat, while UMM improved to 2-6 this season and 2-5 in conference action with the win.

MLC is scheduled to return to action Monday, April 28, when it travels to Bethany Lutheran.
