FRIDLEY, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team lost its match at Northwestern on Tuesday by the final of 6-3.

Justn Marshall won his singles and doubles matches at UNW


The doubles team of Justin Marshall and Philip Schroeder earned the Knights their first point, taking the third doubles match 8-4 while the Eagles won the other two.

In singles, the Knights won the number four and six matches. Marshall won in the four spot in three sets by the scores of 6-7 (7-9), 7-5, 1-0 (10-6), while Tom Gorzalski won in the six spot in straight sets 6-0, 6-2.

MLC fell to 1-7 on the season and 1-5 in UMAC play with the loss, while UNW improved to 7-12 overall and 6-1 in league play.

The Knights will return to action on Thursday, April 24, when they play at North Central in a meet scheduled to start sometime after 5 p.m.
