FRIDLEY, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team lost its match against Bethany Lutheran College 6-3 on Monday night at Lifetime Fitness Center.

Kris Kuschel won his number two singles match in straight sets


The Knights lost two of the three matches in doubles, with the number three team of Justin Marshall and Philip Schroeder taking home the lone point with an 8-6 win.

In singles, Kris Kuschel earned a 6-2, 6-0 win in the number two spot, and Marshall picked up the other point with a three-set win in the four spot by the scores of 6-2, 5-7. 1-0 (10-3).

MLC fell to 2-9 on the season and 2-7 in the UMAC in defeat, while BLC improved to 6-11 overall and 6-4 in league play with the win.

The Knights will return to action on Wednesday, April 30, when they play North Central at Lifetime Fitness Center starting at 2 p.m.
