Men's Tennis Shows off Depth in Win over Rams
MINNEAPOLIS - The MLC men's tennis team finally made it onto the courts after several postponements and cancellations to start the season, beating North Central 7-2 Thursday night.
The Knights won four of six singles matches, including each of the final three matches. Scott Henrich won his number one singles match in straight sets, while Jordan Bence, Kris Kuschel and Micah Koelpin won pivotal matches in the numbers four, five and six positions to secure the win.
MLC swept all three of the doubles matches, winning by the scores of 8-4, 8-5 and 8-0.
With the win, MLC improved its record to 1-0 on the season and 1-0 in UMAC play.
The Knights will return to the courts on Saturday, April 6, when they host St. Scholastica for a match scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
