Men's Tennis Sweeps BLC

NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC men's tennis team won its third consecutive conference match with a 9-0 win over Bethany Lutheran Monday.


The Knights won the there doubles matches by the scores of 8-2, 8-4 and 8-2 to start the match with a 3-0 team lead.

MLC swept the six singles matches in straight sets, with number one singles player Scott Henrich leading the way with a 6-1 and 6-0 win. Micah Koelpin and Marty Johnston also won singles matches where they held their opponent without a point in at least one set.

MLC improved to 5-5 overall and 5-4 in UMAC play with the win, while BLC fell to 0-19 on the season and 0-10 in conference action with the loss.

The Knights will close the regular season with a match tomorrow (Tuesday, April 30) against Minnesota Morris scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
