Men's Tennis Wins 6-3 against Rams

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team defeated North Central 6-3 at the Baseline Tennis Center on Thursday night.

Philip Schroeder won his singles and doubles match in a 6-3 team win over NCU


The Knights started the match winning two of the three doubles matches, as the number two team of Micah Koelpin and Kris Kuschel won 8-6, and the third team of Philip Schroeder and Justin Marshall won 8-0.

In singles, Kuschel, Schroeder and Tom Gorzalski each won in straight sets, while Marshall won his match in a third set tie-breaker to finish off the 6-3 win.

MLC improved to 2-7 overall and 2-5 in the UMAC with the win, while NCU fell to 0-8 on the season and in the UMAC in defeat.

The Knights will return to action on Saturday, April 26, when they travel to UM-Morris for a match scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
