Men's Tennis Wins Two
NEW ULM, Minn. - The men's tennis team took both matches in a double header against UM-Morris Saturday afternoon, winning the first match 5-4, and the second match 6-3.
Scott Henrich (Milwaukee, Wis./LPS) and Ryan Obry (Eldorado, Wis./WLA) each won both singles matches they played on the day in the numbers one and four spots.
The Knights also had success in the five and six spots, as Andrew Becker (Jackson, Wis./KMLHS) and Phil Hunter (Middleton, Wis./LPS) won singles matches in the first match, while Brian Gephart (Saint Joseph, Mich./MLHS) and Danny Rick (La Valle, Wis./Wonewoc Center) won in those spots in the second match.
In doubles, the Knights took one of three in the first match, and then took two of three in the second.
With the sweep, MLC improved to 6-6 overall and 5-4 in UMAC play. The Knights will return to action on Monday, May 3, when they travel to Bethany for a 3 p.m. match.
