Three Men's Tennis Players Named All-UMAC
ST. PAUL - MLC men's tennis players Scott Henrich, Paul Koester and Ben Nommensen were each named All-UMAC Thursday.
Henrich received the honor for the third straight season as MLC's number one singles player after finishing 2012 with a singles record of 7-7 overall and 6-4 against UMAC opponents. In doubles, Henrich also went 7-7. Henrich was also the MLC recipient of the Sportsmanship Award.
Koester went 6-7 in singles (6-4 in UMAC competition) and 7-6 in doubles (6-4 against UMAC opponents) from the number two singles position.
Nommensen was one of only two first-year players in the conference to be named All-UMAC, and finished the season 5-5 overall in singles, with a 5-3 record in conference play.
MLC finished the season 6-8 overall and 6-4 in UMAC action, good for a third place finish in the final conference standings.
