Brassow, Tessmer Named All-UMAC

ST. PAUL – Martin Luther College men’s track athletes Todd Brassow and Matt Tessmer were named All-UMAC on Wednesday for their performances at the UMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships last weekend.

Todd Brassow was named All-UMAC after winning the High Jump event for the second straight year

Brassow received the honor after winning the High Jump competition for the second consecutive season with a jump of 1.90 meters. Brassow holds the UMAC Championships meet record in the event after last year’s jump of 1.94.

Tessmer finished second in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 51.54, just 0.43 seconds behind the first place finisher.

Grey Davis was the MLC recipient of the Sportsmanship Award on the men's side, while Emilee Koltz received the honor for the women's team. The Sportsmanship Award is given to an athlete on each team for their sportsmanship throughout the season.

The men’s track team finished fourth in the team competition at the meet, while the women finished fifth.
