Amanda Burk had 22 points and ten rebounds in MLC's win over Presentation

MLC started the game on a 10-0 run to take control of the game, and led by as many as 24 points in the first half on the way to a 17-point halftime lead at 40-23.

Presentation would battle in the second half, getting the MLC lead as low as seven points with over six minutes to play, but the Knights were just too strong from the foul line as they pushed the lead back into double digits and iced the game away.

The Knights dominated the glass for much of the night, outrebounding the Saints 47-28. MLC also did a lot of damage from the free throw line, going 28-34 (82.4 percent) for the game compared to 13-17 (76.5 percent) by the Saints.

Erica Babinec led the way for MLC offensively with 25 points, going 7-16 from the floor and 11-12 from the charity stripe as she became the second women's player in MLC history (joining her sister Emma) to surpass 1,400 points for her career.

Amanda Burk also had a big night, scoring 22 points on just nine shots from the field (6-9 on field goals and 10-12 on free throws), and also added a team-high ten rebounds.

Hannah Hackbarth and Sarah Free combined for 21 points off the bench for MLC, helping them outscore the PC bench 24-4 for the game, while Alex Anthon also reached double figures with ten points.

With the win, MLC improved to 9-5 overall and 4-0 in the UMAC, while Presentation dropped to 2-11 on the season and 1-3 in league play.

MLC will return to action tomorrow (Saturday, January 21) when it travels to Minnesota, Morris to play a 3 p.m. game.
