Women Win Sixth Straight at North Central
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The MLC women's basketball team won stretched its winning streak to six with a 73-50 win at North Central Tuesday night.
The Knights didn't shoot well, but made up for a 33.3 percent shooting night with 26 offensive rebounds, and a defensive effort that held the Rams to 37.9 percent shooting and forced 20 turnovers.
Amanda Burk led MLC with 15 points and added 13 rebounds, while Erica Babinec also grabbed 13 rebounds to go with her 12 points. Hannah Hackbarth came off the bench to score ten points, all in the second half.
With the win, MLC improved to 11-5 on the season, while North Central dropped to 6-12.
MLC will return to action on Friday, January 27, when it hosts Northwestern for a game scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
