Bethany Schultz Scores 100th Career Point
ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. - Martin Luther College women's soccer player Bethany Schultz became the third player in program history to reach 100 career points in Friday's 2-0 win over Crown.
Schultz entered the game with 99 points for her career, and assisted on a second half goal by Lauren Maertz to reach milestone.
Schultz has been a force for the women's soccer program since she arrived, scoring 34 points (12 goals and ten assists) as a freshman on the way to First Team All-UMAC and UMAC Rookie of the Year honors.
She received Second Team All-UMAC honors as a sophomore in 2011 (six goals and three assists), and was named First Team All-UMAC again as a junior in 2012 (seven goals and six assists).
This season, Schultz leads the UMAC with 31 points and nine assists to go with 11 goals, which ranks second on the team and third in the conference.
Schultz joins Katherine Valleskey and Tami Schmidt as the only two players to reach 100 for their careers at MLC.
