NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC women's soccer team completed the season sweep of North Central with a 5-0 win Friday afternoon.

Kadie Drake scored two goals in MLC's win over NCU

MLC jumped on top with three first half goals before tacking on two more in the second half. For the game, MLC outshot North Central 33-14 overall, and 14-5 on goal.

Kadie Drake picked up the first goal of the game, and then a second in the second half, giving her seven on the season.

Hannah Mattek added one goal, her third of the season, and also had three assists for the game, while Heidi Heckmann and Kailey Snyder added the other two goals. For Heckmann, it was her second on the season, while Snyder's was the first of her career. Bethany Schultz added two assists and a game-high six shots.

In goal, Allison Snyder and Lindsay Sandwith combined to stop five shots for the shutout.

MLC improved to 5-4-1 on the season with the win, while North Central dropped to 3-7.

The Knights will return to action on Friday, October 8, when they travel to Crown for a 1:30 game.
