Bethany Schultz and the Knights were picked to finish sixth in the UMAC

The Knights finished the 2012 season with a record of 6-12 overall and 5-9 in conference play, good for fifth place in the final league standings.

MLC returns leading scorers Bethany Schultz (20 points in 2012 and 25 goals for her career) and Lauren Maertz (team-leading ten goals in 2012) to lead the offensive attack, while three-year starter Alydia Lee figures to anchor the defense.

The Knights finished with 17 points in the poll, three behind fifth place Crown. St. Scholastica received all seven possible first place votes and enters the season as the pre-season favorite once again. Minnesota Morris and Northwestern tied for second place in the poll with 39 points.
