ST. PAUL - Martin Luther College senior midfielder Bethany Schultz was named UMAC Offensive Player of the Week in women's soccer Tuesday morning.

Bethany Schultz was named UMAC Offensive Player of the Week

Schultz helped lead the Knights to a pair of wins against rival Bethany Lutheran, scoring three goals and adding two assists. In Saturday's 6-3 win over the Vikings, Schultz scored two goals and assisted on a third.

Schultz currently leads the Knights and the UMAC with 30 points and eight assists, and also ranks third in the conference (second on the team) with 11 goals.

With eight points last week, Schultz now has 99 for her career, third most in school history. She also tied Jenni Mueller for third place on the program's all-time goal scoring list with 36 career goals.

The women's soccer team will return to action on Friday, October 18, when it travels to Crown for a 1 p.m. start.
