NEW ULM, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's soccer team lost 3-0 to Minnesota Morris Friday in the first conference home contest of the season.

Bethany Schultz had six shots in MLC's loss to UMM


The Cougars did all their scoring in the first half, scoring in the 17th, 25th and 35th minutes to take a 3-0 lead they would hold the rest of the way.

UMM finished with a 20-9 advantage in shots, and an 8-6 edge in shots on goal.

Bethany Schultz led MLC with six of the team's nine shots, while Keely Keese stopped five of the eight Cougar shots on net.

The Knights dropped to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the UMAC with he loss, while UMM improved to 3-3 on the season and 2-1 in league play with the win.

MLC will return to action tomorrow (Saturday, September 28) when it hosts Crown College in a game scheduled to start at 2:15 p.m.
