Women's Season Ends with Loss at UM-Morris
MORRIS, Minn. - The MLC women's soccer team saw its season come to an end with a 2-0 loss to UM-Morris Wednesday.
The Knights, who needed to win to have a chance at the fourth and final spot in the UMAC postseason tournament, were outshot 29-2 in the game, with the Cougars outshooting them 15-1 on goal.
The Cougars got on the board in the 14th minute of play, and then added the insurance goal in the 73rd minute to take the 2-0 win.
Allison Snyder saved 13 of the 15 shots she faced in goal for MLC, while Bethany Schultz had both shots for the Knights.
With the loss, MLC dropped to 8-8-1 on the season and 4-7-1 in the UMAC, while UMM improved to 9-6-1 overall and 7-3-1 in league play.
