DULUTH, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's soccer team lost to the conference leading Saints of St. Scholastica by the score of 6-0 Friday afternoon.

Keely Keese stopped four shots in a loss at CSS


The Saints controlled the game from the start, scoring four times in the first half and two more in the second on the way to the win.

Goalkeepers Keely Keese and Julia Barthels combined to stop eight of the 14 shots they saw on goal for MLC, with Barthels taking over for the second half.

MLC had three players attempt shots, with Bethany Schultz, Abigail Koelpin and Esther Hochmuth each attempting one.

The Knights dropped to 11-7 on the season and 9-4 in the UMAC with the loss, while CSS improved to 15-2-1 overall and 13-0 in league play with the win.

MLC will return to action tomorrow (Saturday, November 2) when it travels to Northland for the regular season finale. The game is scheduled to start at 12 p.m.
