PLYMOUTH, Wis. - MLC forward Kadie Drake scored the game winner late in the overtime period to give the Knights a 3-2 win at Lakeland College Saturday afternoon.

Kadie Drake scored the game-winner late in overtime for MLC at Lakeland

The Knights jumped out to a 2-0 lead early, as Bethany Schultz scored in the fourth minute, and Hannah Mattek tacked on a score in the 33rd minute to give MLC a 2-0 lead at the half.

Lakeland was able to come back in the second half, however, scoring in the 64th and 76th minutes to force overtime.

Drake scored the game-winner in 100th minute of action to win the game on her sixth shot of the game.

For the game, MLC finished with 27 shots, 12 of which were on goal. Schultz finished with eight total shots, seven of which were on net.

MLC will return to action Tuesday, September 8, when it travels to Buena Vista for a game scheduled to being at 5 p.m.
