Women Score Tie at UMM
MORRIS, Minn. - The MLC women's soccer team went to double overtime before finishing with a 1-1 tie at Minnesota, Morris Saturday.
Bethany Schultz broke open a scoreless tie in the 61st minute of play with her sixth goal of the season
In the 68th minute, the Cougars tied the game with a goal from Meghan Laird, leading to overtime.
MLC was outshot for the game 28-6 overall, and 12-5 on net, but goalkeeper Allison Snyder finished with 11 stops in net.
Schultz had a team-high four shots, three of which were on goal.
After the tie, MLC is 4-4-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the UMAC, while UMM moved to 3-6-2 on the year and 2-2-2 in league play.
MLC will return to the pitch on Tuesday, October 5, when it hosts North Central for a 1 p.m. start.
