ASHLAND, Wis. - The MLC women's soccer team picked up its first conference win of the season by a score of 1-0 at Northland Saturday afternoon.
Alydia Lee had three shots in MLC's 1-0 win over Northland
The Knights scored the lone goal of the game on an own goal in the 23rd minute of play, giving them all the offense they would need.
Allison Snyder saved all three shots that came her way as she picked up her first shutout of the season.
MLC outshot Northland 14-11 in the game, and held a 9-3 edge in shots on goal. Bethany Schultz and Hannah Mattek each had four shots, while Alydia Lee had three.
With the win, MLC improved to 3-2 on the season and 1-1 in the UMAC, while Northland dropped to 1-5 overall and 0-3 in league play.
MLC will return to action on Thursday, September 22, when it hosts Crown at 4 p.m.
