MLC Softball Recognized for Academics

The MLC softball team was named an All-Academic Team by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, while seven student-athletes were also recognized.
Kim Matthies was one of seven softball players named a scholar-athlete by the NFCA
The softball team finished with a GPA last year of 3.344, putting them 34th in the country in Division III, and finished first amongst UMAC teams.
Also recognized were individuals April Cook, Amanda Fogle, Heather Korb, Jessica Henning, Kim Matthies, Laura Miller and Stephanie Punke, who were named scholar-athletes by the NFCA after posting GPAs that were better than 3.5.
