Softball Beats Northwestern in Extra Innings
MANKATO, Minn. - The MLC softball team beat Northwestern 5-4 in eight innings at the UMAC crossover held at Bethany Lutheran College Saturday.

MLC won the game with a run in the last inning on a walk-off double by Elizabeth Henke that drove in Sarah Free from second base.
Laura Miller went the distance on the mound for MLC, going all eight innings to improve to 9-11 on the season.
Free finished with a team-best three hits on the day, helping MLC outhit the Eagles 12-8. Amanda Fogle had two RBI.
With the win, MLC improved to 11-21 on the season and 8-13 in the UMAC, while Northwestern dropped to 18-18 overall and 13-8 in league play.
The Knights will return to action on Monday, May 2, when they host St. Catherine for a double header starting at 4 p.m.
